Leverage of IT for Engineering and Science – Workshop on Sensors and Actuators

We are pleased to invite you to the LITES 2025 Workshop on Sensors and Actuators, hosted by the Turkish-German University in collaboration with the Technical University of Berlin and the University of Potsdam. Taking place on 9–10 October 2025 in Istanbul, this workshop continues the biennial LITES series launched successfully in 2023.
Following the successful launch of the LITES conference series in 2023, LITES 2025 returns in the form of a focused workshop, dedicated to the theme of Sensors and Actuators. Building on the interdisciplinary spirit of the inaugural event, this year’s workshop will bring together experts, researchers, and practitioners to examine the pivotal role of sensing and actuation technologies in the development of intelligent, IT-driven systems. As digital transformation continues to reshape science and industry, LITES 2025 will spotlight cutting-edge innovations in sensor and actuator design, their integration with artificial intelligence, and real-world applications in sectors such as manufacturing, automotive engineering, and healthcare.
In addition to keynote talks and thematic sessions, the workshop will feature poster presentations and an industry session to bridge research with real-world applications. The participation of graduate students and postdoctoral researchers is strongly encouraged.
LITES 2025 will take place entirely in person. Participation is free of charge, and for invited international speakers, travel and accommodation will be covered by the DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) according to the German Federal Travel Expenses Act (Bundesreisekostengesetz).
